Recap from October’s “Feed Your City Challenge” food give away. The Ricky Davis Legacy Foundation collaboration with WPWX POWER 92.3 FM and WSRB 106.3FM. We were happy to serve the Roseland and Greater Chicagoland area with real results. It was all hands on deck effort, Power 92 street team and volunteers worked for two days to unload and package two 40+ foot semi trucks ” We prayed for good weather” and it worked. Members from the community where so appreciative.
One cool part of the event was the Chicago’s beloved artist G Herbo and media mogul, Nick Cannon, stopped by and personally handed guest fresh groceries. This was achieved though a six car port mobile touchless grocery delivery system. This afforded us the opportunity to service over 1000 families. There are not too many of Chicago neighborhoods that was more deserving of this blessing than the Roseland Community. Everyone had smiles and it was truely a family event. There was a real sense of appreciation all around. Thank you Chicago, We did it!
