43-year-old Brandy gave a health update and thanked fans for their support on social media, saying she’s focused on getting “rest” following her recent hospitalization.
The singer and actress wrote: “To my beloved fam, friends, and starz thank you for sending love and light my way. I am following doctors’ orders and getting the rest I need due to dehydration and low amounts of nutrition. Thank you for your prayers and support. Grateful for you all, see you soon.”
The health update comes after Brandy was reportedly taken to a Los Angeles hospital on Oct. 11 after suffering a possible seizure, according to TMZ, which cited sources with knowledge of the situation. TMZ reported that Brandy was taken to a hospital Tuesday after emergency medical services were called to her California home. However, neither Brandy nor her reps have confirmed that is the case.
Brandy is best known for playing Moesha Mitchell on Moesha. She most recently portrayed Naomi “Xplicit Lyrics” Harris-Jones on the ABC series Queens, which was canceled earlier this year after just one season.
