Saturday Night Live has announced Dave Chappelle will host the November 12th edition of the show, with a reunited Black Star (comprised of Yasiin Bey and Talib Kweli) serving as the musical guests. Chappelle previously hosted the show in November 2016 and in November 2020. The news was revealed during last weekend’s episode, which featured musical guest Steve Lacy and was hosted by Amy Schumer, and also posted to Twitter.

Chappelle will return for hosting duties following the midterm election in the United States, marking the third time he is on the show after a major election in the US; he previously hosted the episodes following the 2016 and 2020 presidential elections. Meanwhile, Black Star is hitting the stage just shortly after releasing their first album in 24 years, No Fear of Time. The pair are also the creators of ‘The Midnight Miracle,’ the award-winning podcast on Luminary.
