Drake and Nicki Minaj will be collaborating on Drake’s upcoming album, For All the Dogs.
Drake shared the news during the Detroit stop of his ‘It’s All a Blur Tour’ with 21 Savage, telling the crowd: “I’ve been cooking this album for you. I’ma give away one thing about the album in Detroit tonight because I’ve got a lot of love for Detroit. Me and Nicki Minaj did our first song in a really long time… (I’ve) got a lot of love for her. Minaj took to Twitter to reconfirm the announcement from Drake, sharing an old photo of her and Drake with the caption “#Dricki” (referring to the fusion of their two names).
Drake last collaborated with Minaj on 2021’s “Seeing Green” with Lil Wayne, which appeared on the 2021 re-release of Minaj’s 2009 mixtape Beam Me Up Scotty. Minaj and Drake also collaborated on other Lil Wayne-assisted songs, including “Truffle Butter” (2014), “No Frauds” (2017), and “Only” (2014), also with Chris Brown, and their first collaboration in 2010, “Moment 4 Life.”
