Kid Cudi has canceled his ‘INSANO: ENGAGE THE RAGE’ world tour across North America and Europe after breaking his foot during his performance at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival last weekend.

Cudi shared a message on social media telling followers that he won’t be able to recover in time for the tour, which was set to kick-off later this summer.  Cudi wrote: “Guys, so, I have a broken calcaneus. Im headed to surgery now and there’s gonna be a long recovery time. We have to cancel the tour so I can focus on getting better to be out there in top shape to rage with you all. Theres just no way I can bounce back in time to give 100%. The injury is much more serious than I thought. Anyone who bought tickets will get a full refund, you’ll get an email soon. We will be back with new tour dates as soon as possible, and I can’t wait to get back out there with you guys and turn up how we do. I’m so sorry fam and I love you all so much, thanks for the endless love and support. Im really disappointed as im sure you guys are too, but I will be back. Thats a promise. Im ok, just a lil soreness, but im in good spirits.”

The rapper/singer will also miss his scheduled performances with the Red Hot Chili Peppers, whom he was scheduled to play two shows in June and July. The Chili Peppers wrote: “Due to his injury at Coachella this weekend, Kid Cudi is postponing his entire tour. Unfortunately that includes the two dates he was doing with RHCP. We will update you with new support for these shows.”

Cudi, 40, broke his foot when he jumped off the stage during his last-minute performance at the festival in California; he later shared a video on X lying in bed, saying: “Um, yeah. Sh*t got real yesterday. This is what happens when a 40-year-old man tries to prance around off stage like he’s 26, like he used to do back in the day. I learned a valuable lesson — no more prancing around and jumping off stages. I’m hoping that I’ll be healed up in time for tour. That’s the plan. I don’t wanna let you guys down, so yeah, that’s what we’re aiming for. Not cancelling anything just yet. Just gonna wait and see how things go. But I’m okay; little sore. Yesterday was a lot of pain, but I’m doing better now. I have a little temporary cast on and I gotta go get a real cast in a little bit. Apparently, I broke something in my heel. This is a major setback. But don’t worry, I’ma bounce back. I love y’all, all day! Engage the rage, but not at 40.”
