Back in December 2021, Dr. Dre posted a picture of himself on Instagram alongside an orchestra, announcing that he had just finished recording an album with Marsha Ambrosius and captioned the photo by saying that it was some of his best work.

Now some three years later, Ambrosius’ fourth studio album, titled CASABLANCO, has finally dropped. The 11-track CASABLANCO is the follow-up to Ambrosius’ 2018 album “Nyla”, and is entirely produced by Dr. Dre, who also assists with the writing.

The press release for release CASABLANCO notes that the duo initially set out to record a Jazz album together but it ended up being much more. Said Marsha: “Dr. Dre dared me to dream bigger and aim higher. CASABLANCO took on a life of its own once we grasped the concept. The ideas just kept coming, and everyone was on the same page at the same time.”

CASABLANCO is available via TIDAL, Apple Music or Spotify and more; head here for streaming info.
