Nominations for the 2022 Grammy Awards were revealed on Tuesday by the Recording Academy via a Livestream from Los Angeles, with Doja Cat the most-nominated rap artist this year with nods in 8 categories.
J. Cole, Drake, Nas, Tyler, The Creator and Kanye West all earned nominations in the Best Rap Album Category. Kanye West’s “Donda“, Lil Nas X’s “Montero” and Doja Cat’s “Planet Her” are featured in the Album of the Year category. Doja Cat & SZA’s “Kiss Me More“, Silk Sonic’s “Leave The Door Open” and Lil Nas X’s “Montero” are up for the Song of The Year.
The late DMX earned a nomination for his Jay-Z and Nas collab “Bath Salts” in the Best Rap Song category. The other nominees include Saweetie & Doja Cat’s “Best Friend”, Baby Keem & Kendrick Lamar’s “Family Ties”, Kanye West & Jay-Z’s “Jail”, J. Cole, 21 Savage, Morray’s “My Life”.
