Travis Scott shares ‘Utopia’ cover, trailer for ‘Circus Maximus’ film

Travis Scott just announced that a new movie from A24 called Circus Maximus is coming to theaters this week, featuring new music that will be featured on his upcoming album Utopia, which he previously tweeted will drop on Friday. Scott commissioned five different covers for Utopia, and shared a carousel included five separate photos of men holding money in similar poses inside a car with the caption: “THIS IS ONE OF THE COVERS FOR MY 4TH ALBUM UTOPIA SHOT BY PIETER HUGO. “THE JOURNEY THRU THE ALBUM TOOK ME ALL OVER THE WORLD AND CAN’T WAIT TO FINALLY DROP THE ALBUM. THE MAIN COVER WILL DROP THURS UNTIL THEN A COVER EVERY DAY. LOVE U. SEE U IN UTOPIA.”

Circus Maximus was directed in collaboration with Gaspar Noé, Nicolas Winding Refn, Harmony Korine, Valdimar Jóhannsson, and Kahlil Joseph. The film’s description on AMC’s ticket portal reads: “Prepare to enter Circus Maximus as Travis Scott takes his audience on a mind-bending visual odyssey across the globe, woven together by the speaker rattling sounds of his highly anticipated upcoming album Utopia. The film is a surreal and psychedelic journey, uniting a collective of visionary filmmakers from around the world in a kaleidoscopic exploration of human experience and the power of soundscapes.”

Scott revealed the upcoming Circus Maximus film will arrive in nationwide movie theaters on July 27, and shared the trailer on social media with the caption: “AHHHHHH CANT BELIEVE WE FINALLLLY HEREEEEEEEEEEEE!!! LET’SSS EATTTTT. CIRCUS MAXIMUS IN THEATRES ON 7/27. I WROTE AND DIRECTED THIS ALONGSIDE WITH SOME OF MY FAVORITE DIRECTORS. WE FOUND UTOPIA AROUND THE WORLD AND CAN’T WAIT TO EXPERIENCE THIS WITH U. SEEE U IN UTOPIA.”
